About Rezeis
We are a small engineering team that got tired of maintaining encoding clusters. Every product we worked on eventually needed the same thing — take an arbitrary source file, turn it into streams that play on every device, and serve them close to the viewer. Everyone rebuilds it, and nobody enjoys it.
Rezeis is that layer, offered as an API. We run the encoders, the packagers, the storage and the edge, and we try very hard to be boring about it.
How we operate
Capacity is spread across six regions, with encoding pools in Warsaw, Frankfurt and Riga. Jobs are scheduled close to where the source is stored to keep transfer costs down. Our operational posture is published openly on the status page, including incidents we caused ourselves.
Engineering principles
Three rules we hold to: an API change should never break a running integration; failures should be visible before a customer reports them; and anything billed should be explainable line by line. The rest is negotiable.
